AI Chat Guide for Crowd Users

Crowd is not only a powerful user insight tool but also an AI-powered platform that transforms raw data into actionable insights. With the AI Chat - Chat with Your Data feature, you can dive deep into your customer behavior, preferences, and feedback by engaging in interactive conversations with your collected data. This guide will walk you through how to leverage AI Chat to gain unparalleled insights, streamline decision-making, and enhance your business strategy. Why Use AI Chat? Imagine having a conversation with your data that reveals hidden trends, pinpoints customer pain points, and suggests actionable improvements, all in real time. AI Chat empowers you to: - Uncover Hidden Insights: Ask specific questions about customer behavior and get detailed, data-driven answers. - Save Time on Analysis: Let AI analyze vast datasets instantly, sparing you hours of manual data crunching. - Make Informed Decisions: Use AI-generated insights to refine marketing strategies, improve user experience, or enhance product offerings. - Personalize Your Analysis: Focus on the exact data sources and timeframes that matter to your goals. This feature is designed to help you understand your customers like never before, making it an essential tool for businesses aiming to stay competitive. Note that to use AI Chat, you must first install the Crowd script on your website, as it begins collecting insight data from the moment of installation. Getting Started with AI Chat There are two primary ways to access the AI Chat feature in Crowd: through the "Ask anything about your customers or search insights" search bar on the dashboard or via the AI Chat option on the left panel. Both methods allow you to interact with your data, but they offer slightly different workflows. Method 1: Using the "Ask Anything About Your Customers" Search Bar 1. Access the Search Bar: a. On your Crowd dashboard, locate the "Ask anything about your customers or search insights" search bar. b. Click on the search bar to open a modal designed for AI Chat interaction. 2. Enter Your Question: a. In the modal, you’ll find a field to input your question. For example, "What are the main reasons customers abandon their carts?" b. Consider using the "Try Asking" suggestions displayed in the modal. These questions are generated based on your website’s data (where Crowd is installed) and are tailored to your website’s unique context, ensuring relevance. 3. Set Up the Chat: a. Chat Title: Enter a descriptive title for your chat (e.g., "Cart Abandonment Insights"). b. Data Source: Select the relevant data source(s) to analyze. Ensure the source aligns with your question (e.g., for cart abandonment, choose User activities). AI will deeply search the selected sources to provide accurate answers. c. Date Range: Choose a timeframe for the analysis. Options include the last 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, or 30 days. This helps AI focus on the most relevant data, especially since Crowd has been collecting insights since installation. For instance, selecting "Last 7 days" ensures recent trends are prioritized. 4. Start Analysis: a. Click "Start Analysis" to create a chat widget. This widget becomes your interactive space to ask multiple questions about the chosen data source. b. Note that the number of chats you can create is limited based on your pricing plan. Upgrade your plan to unlock more chat sessions and maximize your insights. 5. Engage with AI: a. Within the chat widget, ask follow-up questions like, "Which products have the highest abandonment rates?" AI will respond with detailed insights, often including metrics, trends, tables and explanations. 6. Edit Your Chat: a. To refine your analysis, edit the chat by adjusting the title, adding/removing data sources, or changing the date range. AI will regenerate responses based on the updated parameters. Method 2: Using the AI Chat Button 1. Access the AI Chat Home Page: a. On the left panel of your Crowd dashboard, click the "AI Chat" option to navigate to the AI Chat home page. 2. Create a New Chat: a. Click "Create Chat" to open a modal. b. Chat Name: Enter a name for your chat (e.g., "Customer Feedback Analysis"). c. Data Source: Select the data source(s) relevant to your inquiry. For example, choose customer feedback logs to analyze satisfaction trends. d. Date Range: Specify the timeframe (last 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, or 30 days) to streamline AI’s search. 3. Interact in the Chat Interface: a. Once created, the chat interface opens, allowing you to ask questions about your selected data source. For example, "What are the top complaints from the last 30 days?" b. AI will provide detailed responses, often with supporting data like percentages or specific examples. 4. Edit the Chat: a. Modify the chat by editing the name, data sources, or date range. AI will update its responses accordingly to reflect the new criteria. For example, don’t use purchase data to analyze website navigation issues. - Chat Limit Reached: Check your pricing plan’s chat limit. Upgrade to a higher plan for more sessions. - Slow Responses: If AI is taking too long, reduce the date range or select fewer data sources to streamline the analysis. Understanding Your Crowd Dashboard

Your Crowd dashboard is designed to give you instant visibility into how your users behave, what they're telling you, and where your biggest opportunities lie. Think of it as your mission control for making data-driven decisions that grow your business. Everything You Need at a Glance When you first log into Crowd, your Home dashboard presents a comprehensive 30-day snapshot of your website's performance and user behavior. This isn't just data for data's sake; every metric here connects directly to actionable insights you can use to improve your user experience. Key Performance Metrics The top section of your dashboard displays four critical metrics that tell the story of your website's performance: Unique Visitors What it shows: The number of individual people who visited your site Why it matters: This metric reveals your reach and helps you understand if your marketing efforts are bringing new users to your site. For example, A 28% increase indicates strong growth in your audience. Average Session Duration What it shows: How long visitors typically spend on your site (52.07 seconds in the screenshot below) Why it matters: Longer sessions usually indicate higher engagement, but context matters. A 13% decrease might signal issues with user experience or content relevance that need investigation. Bounce Rate What it shows: The percentage of visitors who leave after viewing only one page (77% in this example) Why it matters: A high bounce rate isn't always bad; it depends on your site's purpose. However, a 2% increase might indicate areas for improvement in page relevance or loading speed. Page Views What it shows: Total number of pages viewed across all sessions (334 with an 18% increase in the screenshot below) Why it matters: Growing page views combined with more unique visitors suggest healthy user engagement and content discovery. AI-Powered Key Findings The "Key findings" section is where Crowd's AI analysis shines, automatically identifying patterns and opportunities in your data: Looking Good: Bounce Rate and Engagement Improvement Your AI has identified positive trends in user engagement. This finding suggests recent changes or content are resonating better with your audience. Monitor: Browser Usage Trends The system has detected shifts in how users access your site across different browsers. This intelligence helps you prioritize technical optimizations and ensure consistent experiences. Opportunity: Global Reach and Device Performance AI analysis reveals potential for growth in specific markets and opportunities to optimize mobile user experience, with directly actionable insights for expanding your reach. Understanding Your Content Performance Top Pages Analysis The dashboard identifies your most-visited pages, providing insights into user engagement and content performance. Use these metrics to optimize your content hierarchy and enhance underperforming pages through strategic internal linking or promotion. (Example in screenshot: Homepage (/), Pricing (/pricing), Unmoderated Tests) Pro Tip: Use this data to understand your content hierarchy and identify pages that might need more internal linking or promotion. Recent Feedback: The Voice of Your Users The feedback section captures user sentiment through active research studies and widget responses, offering valuable insights to inform strategy and product development. Regularly review feedback in the feedback hub to identify trends and prioritize user-driven improvements. (Example in screenshot: Untitled Study, My MVP...) Action: Review responses in the feedback hub to identify trends and prioritize user-driven improvements.
