Keyboard shortcuts for Vinci Work and Vinci Code

Use these keyboard shortcuts to navigate Vinci Work (desktop) and Vinci Code faster. Works on Mac (Cmd) and Windows/Linux (Ctrl).

Command palette (quick access to everything)

  • Cmd/Ctrl+K — Open command palette
    • Search for settings, sessions, models, agents, or any action
    • Keeps you in flow without reaching for the mouse

Session and workspace navigation

  • Cmd/Ctrl+N — New session
  • Cmd/Ctrl+T — Next session tab
  • Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+T — Previous session tab
  • Cmd/Ctrl+1 through 9 — Jump to workspace by sidebar order (1 is the first, 9 is the ninth)
  • Cmd/Ctrl+[ — Back to previous surface
  • Cmd/Ctrl+] — Forward to next surface

Search and find

  • Cmd/Ctrl+F — Find text in the current conversation
  • Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+F — Search across every session

Terminal and panels

  • Cmd/Ctrl+J — Toggle terminal panel (hides/shows the output panel)

Tips for faster navigation

  1. Use Cmd/Ctrl+K for everything — It's faster than menus. Open it to:

    • Jump directly to a setting ("appearance" → Appearance settings)
    • Search for a past session
    • Switch models or agents
    • Open feedback or docs
  2. Keyboard shortcuts for workspaces — If you have 3 workspaces, Cmd/Ctrl+1, Cmd/Ctrl+2, Cmd/Ctrl+3 switch between them instantly

  3. Session tabs — Cmd/Ctrl+T and Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+T cycle through open sessions in the current workspace

In Vinci Code only

  • /hotkeys — Type this slash command to see all keyboard shortcuts specific to Vinci Code
  • Ctrl+P — Cycle through scoped models (requires setup in settings)

Customizing shortcuts

In Settings → Preferences (desktop), you can often remap shortcuts to match your workflow or other tools you use daily.
