Sometimes you have data that you do not actively work with anymore but you still need to keep it for documentation or reporting. For this you can "archive" a record. This keeps the data, in case you need it again, but hides the record from all the lists and selection fields, so that you can focus on the records that are currently active.
Archiving a record

Open the details view of the record you want to archive.

Click on the three-dots menu on the top right and select "Archive".

You see a banner now, explaining that this record is archived. If necessary, you can "un-archive" it and make it a normal "active" record again.
The archived record is not shown in the list and the selection fields by default.
You can still see archived entries if you activate the toggle at the bottom of any list.
Using "Bulk Actions"
You can also do this from the List View for multiple records at once, using "Bulk Actions".
